The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is the national body for prostate cancer in Australia. The PCFA plays a vital role in the fight against prostate cancer and devotes all of it resources towards reducing the impact of prostate cancer on the community.

More than 500 delegates from every state and territory in Australia came together for the PCFA inaugural National Conference on the Gold Coast. The event was deemed a resounding success with international and local speakers presenting on a broad range of Prostate Cancer related issues.
The award was created to honour the outstanding contribution of Max Gardner AM to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and to prostate cancer support groups.
